Next step in national networked implementation for market-leading oncology solution
St John of God Berwick Hospital has gone live with the Charm Evolution® oncology information management system by healthcare technology leaders Magentus.
Charm Evolution® helps health systems place cancer patients and their carers at the centre of their health and wellbeing journey, supporting better scheduling and reducing wait times and treatment duration.
Connecting vital information about a patient’s care journey into a digital record, the solution serves as a source of truth delivering all relevant information to the entire care team.
St John of God Health Care is in the process of rolling out Charm Evolution® nationally following a successful pilot at Subiaco Hospital’s Bendat Family Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
After going live at Berwick, the system will also be introduced as the electronic oncology management system at hospitals in Murdoch, Bunbury, Geraldton, Midland, Bendigo and Ballarat.
St John of God Health Care previously relied on paper-based, manual processes whereas Charm Evolution® allows all health care professionals involved with a patient to view the care plan on the system, while ensuring treatment is in line with best practice clinical guidelines.
The solution is improving clinical safety by cutting the potential for transcription errors and allowing clinicians to alter treatment when clinical information indicates a need to adapt in response to changing patient symptoms and diagnostic information.
