Short Summary

The IT Support Engineer role is a crucial role ensuring the success of the IT Department and the business. They work jointly with other staff and departments to ensure that systems and service are meeting the requirements of the business. Our IT Support Engineers also support the IT team to improve the security and standards operated internally, discuss, suggest, plan, and implement new projects into the working environment and further enhance business processes of the company. This role will perform several functions to achieve their objectives in line with best practice, security, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

Our IT Team are responsible for the ongoing IT systems maintenance, availability and function for the organisation. The IT Support Engineer tasks include:

  • Providing customers with IT support via desktop solutions, chat functions, emails, and calls.
  • Managing and maintaining Active Directory Starters/Movers/Leavers
  • Ensuring estate asset management is up to date
  • Supporting hardware lifecycle
  • Troubleshooting IT issues by asking customers targeted questions.
  • Providing customers with step-by-step guidance to resolve technical problems.
  • Following up on technical queries and providing prompt feedback.
  • Prioritizing customer queries and escalating serious technical issues to IT Infrastructure Engineers
  • Compiling IT instruction manuals and useful IT support resources.

Experience Required:

  • Windows Operating Systems
  • Linux RHEL/CentOS environments (desirable)
  • Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Microsoft Azure & AWS
  • Basic PowerShell scripting (desirable)
  • Office 365 Administration
  • Intune
  • MDM
  • Ability to work efficiently, accurately and adhere to schedules and deadlines
