Magentus, with the support of Amgen, is taking the next leap in our ambition to empower intelligent healthcare with a new tool for Dermatologists who commonly treat psoriasis patients.
At a busy practice, you can’t always enter data perfectly into every box, and there certainly isn’t time to sift through a mountain of old patient records to find that important detail.
That’s where our new Psoriasis Patient Dashboard comes in — processing patient record data into a synthesised report that summarises patients by severity and treatment type, highlights patients of interest, and most importantly, reduces your administrative burden.
You can use the dashboard’s default settings that are informed by the framework from the Australian consensus statement on psoriasis treatment (Foley et al, July 28th 2023), or customise the dashboard’s parameters to segment and filter patients.
Yes, it’s free for all Genie practices that opt-in.
All practices with Genie V10 or above can enable the free tool.
If you are not yet on V10, it is quick and easy to update Genie versions. Learn how to update to the latest Genie version using our Knowledgebase.
The dashboard contains only data that comes from your practice’s Genie database and only data needed to create the dashboard is used. This data may be sourced from wherever it is stored in your practice’s Genie database, which includes data entered by any of its users, and includes both structured data (e.g. measurements) and unstructured data (e.g. consultation notes).
We have used current AI technology to extract and process that data as accurately as possible, including from data found only in free text format. Since AI isn’t perfect, there may be circumstances where processing errors have been made, and the data on the dashboard is inaccurate. The dashboard shows you the source of AI processed data where relevant (ie the source letter or note) so you can see where it came from. It is important that you verify the results with your Genie records before taking any action. It is also important that you use your own clinical judgment and not rely upon the dashboard as a substitute for such judgement.
Data is synced weekly to enable timely review of your patients.
We adhere to good industry practice in relation to data security and the prevention of data loss as specified. Our information security management system is also certified compliant with ISO/IEC 27001: 2013 (international standard for information security management systems and their requirements). All of our data is securely stored in Australian data centres.
Practice Data is first de-identified to remove Personal Information (including Sensitive Information and Health Information) to enable safe processing. Further de-identification will be performed in compliance with applicable Australian Privacy Laws and using the Safe Harbour method of the US HIPAA Privacy Rule. The de-identified data is then processed using a variety of methods (including AI) to find the data needed for the dashboard. Finally, the data is re-identified so that it can be provided back to the practice and its users via the dashboard.
Yes, filters and options available on the dashboards can be used to tailor the report to meet individual practice needs.
No, the tool is designed to minimise administrative burden. It automatically extracts, processes and organises the relevant data without requiring any extra data entry or manual work.
Yes, once you have created a list of patients of interest, you can export it into Excel for further analysis or actions (eg creating a recall list)
No, only reports that contain aggregated, de-identified data relating to the dashboard will be shared with Amgen. No information that can identify you or your patients will be shared with Amgen.
