Founder Mark McConnell will transition to the role of Executive Chairman
Global health technology company Magentus today announced that Rachael Powell will join the company as Chief Executive Officer and Board Director, effective 1st August 2024, reporting directly to the Board. This strategic leadership transition comes as Magentus continues its growth story, pursuing improved healthcare outcomes for patients and customers. Rachael brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Magentus, having a proven track record in scaling technology-oriented businesses globally. She will be responsible for all health divisions of Magentus.
Mark McConnell, the current CEO and co-founder of the original Citadel business that evolved into Magentus, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman. In this capacity, he will retain responsibility for the non-health divisions – Kapish, Citadel Group, and Citadel Technology. Mark will work closely with Rachael and the Board on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and market expansion.
Rachael Powell has led high-performing teams, and her diverse capabilities include business development, revenue management, marketing and communications, human resources, and customer support/success.
Most recently, Rachael served as the Chief Customer Officer at Xero (ASX:XRO), where she led a large, multi-functional, and geographically dispersed team. She was instrumental in driving the design and execution of Xero’s global go-to-market strategy, financial performance, and comprehensive customer experience. Prior to her tenure at Xero, Rachael held senior executive positions at IBM.
